I’ve just read your review of the Mafate Speed 4 Lite. As a big fan of the regular Mafate Speed 4 myself, I’m now considering buying a pair of the Lite version.
In your review, I noticed that when comparing the weights, you mentioned that your Mafate Speed 4 Lite is a US10, whereas your previous Mafate Speed 4 was a US9.5. Is there a particular reason why you went up half a size? Have Hoka changed the sizing, or was it simply your personal preference?
Would you recommend that someone who wore a US9.5 in the regular Mafate Speed 4 also consider sizing up for the Lite version?
They had sent me the regular MS4 in US 9.5, which was too small. I was able to do the review, but that's the reason why I never ran it that much after that. I'm typically a US 10 in Hoka (except for the Zinal 3 which I have in a very tight US 9.5). I'd go with your normal Hoka size.
I have a couple videos on the channel with that shoe - the first one looks at that heel in detail. Definitely check that one out for the most up close look. Unfortunately, that kind of heel setup (like the norda 001) is going to be hit or miss. Some runners can get their heels shredded, and others will absolutely love it. Even me I just had to try it, and luckily it's ok for me.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews of the Mafate Speed 4 Lite on Hoka's website, https://www.hoka.com/en/hu/lifestyle/mafate-speed-4-lite/1168450.html
Example about heel rubbing. Since Hoka changed the heel design, I'm starting to have doubts.
In your opinion, is the Lite really worse than the original Mafate Speed 4? Would you still buy it online without trying it on first?

Do you think on your channel? I don't find other Mafate Speed 4 Lite video, just what is in the review.
