I’ve been ramping up the miles over the past two weeks - good thing I’ve got some solid “trail trainers” to test. First up, I released my full video review of the new Craft Nordlite Ultra 2.0
This one definitely fits into the “trainer” category, but I’d say a bit on the speedier side.. those days where you want to get a bit of high aerobic training in, and want a quicker feeling shoe.
The big news here is that Craft has adjusted their uppers - this is the best fitting Craft shoe I’ve run in, although it wasn’t a high bar. Looking forward to more Craft testing.. stay tuned!

I also wrapped up my testing of the VJ Ultra 3. I took out the MAXx2 for comparison, because, why not?
I’m working on some steep descent training to toughen up the quads, so this is quite a scenic route and video.
Check out some early season Idaho trail greenery before the summer heat sets in..
VJ Ultra 3 ($190)
I’ve been racking up miles in The North Face Infinite 3, 37 in fact over 3 runs. I just put out a short first look video.
I’ve been getting lots of feedback on this one, so definitely keep an eye out for a more in-depth review including A/B testing against the Enduris 4.
The Sky 2 is another comparison, but this one seems to track closer to the Enduris 4. There are some subtle differences though, which I’ll detail in my review.
The North Face Vectiv Infinite 3 ($160)
Nike Wildhorse 10 - this one was a personal purchase. Since I’ve been really enjoying the Terra Kiger 10, I wanted to try out the Wildhorse after not having run in one for a long time.
This one doesn’t have “Racing” printed on the side, which I think makes sense. It seems like it could be a solid workhorse trainer though.
Also no Megagrip, instead - Nike All Terrain Compound (ACG)
Nike Wildhorse 10 ($155)
I talked briefly about the tariff situation in my last Q&A. Quick update - norda has resumed shipping to the U.S. Not sure what has changed, but this is good news for trail runners.
I’ve got a bunch of norda videos on the channel - check those out!
Upcoming
Under Armour Infinite Pro - A new brand for me, at least in terms of trail running.
Well supportive underfoot, with Vibram Megagrip in the mix. It’s on the heavy side, but I had a nice & smooth first test run in them.
Under Armour Infinite Pro ($140)
RheoFit A1 - Automated Massage Roller
just watch..
I’ll admit, I was skeptical, but this thing actually works! I’m lying flat on my back here and this thing is going to work - so cool!
RheoFit A1 ($379)
Mount to Coast T1 - The shoe will be releasing the first week of June, keep an eye out for the full review. I’ll be focusing some test miles this week on this one.
