On the road to Beaverhead

Back from TrailCon 2025, check out my recap, told via t-shirts:

One of the most exciting parts of the trip was the Precision Fuel & Hydration 100m dash.

One quick day of “recovery” at home, then off again for a big road trip. First stop: Lewiston, Idaho - Hells Gate State Park.

Summer was in full swing - hot days, exposed trails.

I did a quick video with some more thoughts on the Nike Wildhorse 10. The energy in the ReactX foam kind of surprised me - it felt more energetic than I remember.

It was also my second day testing the Fractel Velocity t-shirt. The fit is great for me - nice and airy, the collar is a bit loose which I also like.

I picked up one of their trucker hats at TrailCon - it fits all my hair inside so that’s a PLUS!

Next, July 4th celebrations up in Sandpoint, Idaho. This was only my second time up around Northern Idaho, and my first time really running around here.

I took the Scarpa Spin Ultra 2 up Gold Hill for a couple of rounds up & down. It’s a decent amount of vert, but the track is mostly smooth, and thankfully, shaded.

A few fun parts mixed in though.. I’ll be releasing a video from this run this week - stay tuned!

Next up was Mickinnick Trail - steeper and way rockier. This time I took out The North Face Vectiv Pro 3 for a first legit test run.

It was a bit hairy at times with the steepness, but at least I got to push them a bit.

Had I known the trails a bit better, I probably would have liked to have run the Spin Ultra 2 here and the Pro 3’s the previous day.
