Action packed second day to wrap up TrailCon 2025 - events going on throughout the day outside in the village - 2 stages for panels & interviews, iconic trails for running, 100m DASH, and the Trail Running Hall of Fame!
I started the day off with another On Group Run. Jam packed again with runners eager to try out the new Cloudultra models - I wasn’t able to get a demo pair in my size.
Plan B - first test run in the TNF Vectiv Pro 3.. I always travel with bags of shoes.. you never know.
I was able to get some more Humble Running Community guest reviewers in on the action! Thanks to all who gave their mini-reviews on-the-run! It was amazing and pretty mind-blowing to meet so many followers of the channel out at TrailCon!
Throughout the day I checked out some cool shoes & gear in the Vendor Village. Here’s a sampler of some cool stuff I saw:
There’s a lot more to come, and hopefully I’ll be testing all of these shoes at some point. Check out the channel on YT for short clips of these.
Perhaps the most exciting event of the day was the Precision Fuel & Hydration 100m dash. I was able to snag and entry and toe the line along with a good number of professional runners.
I somehow got out quick in my first heat and pulled down the second tag to advance into the semi’s !
Where I was boxed out within the first couple steps and that was the end of my run. If you didn’t make it to the inflatable water bottle turnaround up front, you were cooked.

After the shortest 2 races of my life, there was a live Freetrail podcast with the GOAT - Kilian Jornet
Followed by the Inaugural Trail Running Hall of Fame Inductions. I obviously can’t do this event justice here. Check out Freetrail for full content from this amazing and inspiring evening. Here are just a couple of highlights from my vantage point:
Buzz Burrell was both inspiring and hilarious
David Roche was.. David Roche
TrailCon 2025 was a smashing success by all accounts. I can see this event becoming huge over the coming years. I was so happy to be able to attend this year at this very special time in the growth of our sport and the trail running community.
Thank you to the Humble Running Community for all your support - in whatever form it takes. I appreciate everything and it was especially awesome to meet a bunch of you out there IRL (in real life!). Mark your calendars for next year - let’s do it again!
